Excellent location, but the pool is mediocre and there's not much to do within the resort itself. It's great for little girls and their moms who want to be princesses. The decor is amazing. The food is good too! Has great transportation options to the Disney parks. Not my first choice for a Disney resort, as there are other options way cooler and family friendly with loads to do, like the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Beach Club resorts.

A Magical Stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa – Worth Every Penny! Our recent stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was nothing short of extraordinary. As Disney’s flagship resort, it absolutely lives up to its reputation for elegance, luxury, and world class service. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stunning Victorian inspired architecture, lush grounds, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a truly magical vacation. The location couldn’t be more ideal, right on the monorail line, offering quick and easy access to Magic Kingdom and the other parks. It’s not just convenient, it’s part of the magic. Being able to hop on a monorail and be whisked away to the heart of Disney is an experience in itself. Our room was perfectly situated with a beautiful bayfront view, complete with a private balcony. Each evening, we had front-row seats to the nightly fireworks and the charming Light Show Water Pageant gliding across the lagoon. Watching those magical moments from the comfort of our room was unforgettable and added such a special touch to our stay. Yes, the Grand Floridian is on the pricier side compared to some of the other Disney resorts, but in my opinion, it’s well worth the splurge. Nothing at Disney is exactly “budget,” and if you’re already going all in for a Disney vacation, this is the place to elevate the experience. Go big or go home, right? I wholeheartedly recommend staying at the Grand Floridian. Whether it’s a once-in-a-lifetime trip or a returning favorite, this resort delivers the perfect blend of Disney magic and refined luxury. We’re already dreaming of our next visit.

We’ve been coming to Disney for many years as annual passholders and have stayed at most of the resorts over that time. After getting engaged a year ago at the Grand Floridian, we knew we wanted to return here for our honeymoon. Upon arriving late on a Friday night after the wedding, we were surprised to find that our room was located directly adjacent to an elevator shaft and featured two queen beds, despite having requested a king bed and noting in our reservation that this was our honeymoon. While the sleeping arrangements were less than ideal, the bigger issue was the constant noise: the elevator motor humming throughout the night, the frequent ding of opening doors, and the echo of conversations and screaming children waiting nearby. For a newly married couple, it was a disappointing start. We brought our concerns to the manager, and although we had to endure the first night, they ultimately made it right. We were moved to a beautiful king room in a quiet building far from the elevators — a much-needed improvement. From that point on, the entire Disney staff went out of their way to make our honeymoon feel special — including cast members who didn’t even know we were celebrating but saw my wife’s button the front desk gave us. The resort grounds are immaculately maintained, even during ongoing refurbishments, and every staff member we encountered was courteous, friendly, and happy to help. A special mention goes to Citricos, one of the resort’s standout restaurants, which offers exceptional food and wonderful cocktails. As they say, it’s not how you start — it’s how you finish. Though our trip started off a bit rocky, Disney’s staff showed real understanding and care. We would highly recommend this wonderful resort.

We stopped by the Grand Floridian and were blown away by its beauty! The hotel is absolutely stunning — walking inside feels like stepping into a palace. From the soaring ceilings and sparkling chandeliers to the elegant piano music and lush floral arrangements, everything exudes luxury and charm.

We had a girls' trip for Mother's Day. The gf was all you would expect. The service was top-notch. The architecture was grand in the Floridian style. The rooms were spacious, and the bathrooms and shower were nice and roomy. We were given the wrong room, and they switched us quickly with no problems. I highly recommend it.
